About Us Don-Mor Productions Ltd was established in 1972 in the northeast of Scotland to offer a comprehensive range of marketing and promotional services. Company profile I set up the company in 1972, when writing and producing a short film on the history of the Gordon family, 'Cock o' the North', which was bought by Scottish Television. Shortly after, we were commissioned by Glenfarclas Distillery to produce a series of cartoon calendars advertising their fine Speyside malt whisky. This led to other commissions and our involvement in the design, production and marketing of a range of humourous gift lines, under our own name, for the Scottish and overseas markets. In the late seventies, we devised a cartoon character, Monsieur Pussycat, for the Aberdeen-based airline, Air Ecosse; designed and produced their in-flight magazine and managed the P.R. and promotion for their expanding network of scheduled services to England and Ireland. We designed, wrote and supplied a variety of promotional literature and products both for clients in the oil industry, such as Wharton Williams, Whirlybirds, Elmar Engineering and Dixon Scaffolding, and the service sector, including Scottish Airports, NorthSound Radio, the Gordon Highlanders Regiment, Peregrine Airways and Loganair. For several years we were responsible for the P.R. and promotional work for Aberdeen Airport, including the design and production of annual reports, the organisation of annual travel trade shows, the design and production of audio visual presentations and the official golden jubilee book on the history of the airport, including all photographic archive research. We were also involved in the organisation and marketing of two major air shows at the airport. In the early eighties we diversified into organising exhibitions and conferences and launched OilTech in Aberdeen. On a visit to China, we established links with the Chinese petrochemical industry and subsequently arranged facility visits to Scotland for several Chinese delegations. Expansion of the programme of both public and trade events at venues throughout Scotland and the north of England - even on the P&O ferry to Shetland - included a variety of industry sectors, such as commercial vehicles, food and drink, environmental technology, Internet products and services and laboratory equipment, as well as consumer interests, such as homes and gardens, weddings and personal finance. For several years we organised and managed career and recruitment exhibitions for Grampian and Tayside regions and also the annual Small Business Exhibitions on behalf of Aberdeen Enterprise Trust. At the same time as organising Scotland's biggest annual exhibition and conference on environmental technology (Envirotec), at the beginning of the nineties, we published the bi-monthly trade magazine (15,000 copies) of the same name. We were also instrumental in the setting up of both the Scottish Environmental Industry Association and the Grampian Environmental Taskforce and represented Grampian Region as invited guest to Newfoundland and the Taskforce on a fact finding mission to Mexico and the US. In 2001 we signed a distribution agreement with Alegria Activity to represent the Spanish company in the UK and Eire. Alegria Activity is part of the largest bus transportation company in northern Spain and has nearly ten years experience of designing and converting coaches into mobile classrooms, showrooms or hospitality suites. They are ideally suited for delivering public awareness-raising and educational campaigns and the interactive multimedia programmes on waste and recycling and other important environmental issues fit particularly well into our commitment to improve and safeguard the environment. Today, the company offers a wealth of experience in promotion, marketing and sales which includes: - Design
